The ROSS Solid/Liquid Injection Manifold (SLIM) is a proprietary induction system which introduces raw material into a liquid phase directly in the high shear zone of a rotor/stator, promoting instant wet-out. High-quality dispersions, suspensions and emulsions are thus produced in dramatically less time.
Powders such as fumed silica, calcium carbonate, titanium dioxide, xanthan gum, thixotropic agents, and pigments are notorious for clogging up standard mixers, driving up costs by resisting wet-out and taking hours to fully disperse.
However, the ROSS SLIM-available in either batch or inline configurations-not only eliminates these typical setbacks by accelerating the mixing process, but also enables a cleaner and more operator-friendly method of raw material addition, minimizing dusting in the plant atmosphere.
